Two numbers matter more than the split. Exactly one of the 20 listings has its processes and materials recorded — FDM/FFF, SLA/DLP and SLS/MJF, in PLA, ABS, PETG and TPU. And not one San Antonio listing is claimed, meaning maintained by its owner rather than assembled from public sources. San Antonio's industrial mix decides what local shops see week to week, and it looks like nowhere else in Texas.

The military. Joint Base San Antonio folds Lackland, Randolph and Fort Sam Houston into one of the Defense Department's largest installations, which is why the city calls itself Military City, USA. That generates a steady flow of the same categories: tooling and handling aids, protective covers, alignment and inspection fixtures, and one-off replacements for equipment with no supply chain left behind it.

Aerospace maintenance at Port San Antonio. The former Kelly Air Force Base is now a large aerospace campus with heavy aircraft and engine maintenance, repair and overhaul operations on it. MRO work rewards shops that can hold a dimension and document what they did — and it is where a lot of the local demand for replacement and obsolete parts comes from.

Military and civilian medicine. Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, the enlisted medical training campus alongside it, and the South Texas Medical Center and UT Health on the northwest side together produce small, precise, urgent work: instrument and lab fixtures, device form models, anatomical and presentation models. Automotive. Toyota's truck plant on the south side, its adjacent supplier park and a newer heavy-truck assembly operation put real production engineering in the city.
