Filamatrix 3D Printer Filaments

Filamatrix began as Breathe-3DP, a filament materials developer and manufacturer based in Bristol, Virginia. Our parent company, Universal Fibers, Inc., has been a pioneer since its inception in 1969. We were the first to build a business based on integrating colorants and additives into the melt during Nylon fiber formation and the first to add paint pigments into automotive flooring to resist UV fade. Just as individuals have "aha" moments, so do companies. In mid-2014, we experienced such a moment that led to the creation of Breathe-3DP. This realization was immediately followed by the question of how additive manufacturing, a disruptive technology, would impact the larger scale of manufacturing.
