Scott Volk, our founder and owner, is an experienced leader in Additive Manufacturing Technology & Innovation, with a demonstrated history of working with the Defense, Space, and Aerospace industries. He is skilled in Medical Devices, DfAM, Management, Continuous Improvement, and Manufacturing Engineering. Scott is a strong product management professional whose journey in product development and manufacturing began in 1992 with the composite lay-up of small aircraft components. He quickly discovered a passion for creating and bringing ideas to life, which led him to the world of Additive Manufacturing. At Scicon Technologies, Scott started by sanding supports from SLA parts and rapidly advanced through the ranks to become the shop manager and eventually Head of Research and Development.
